Did he not surrender to the authorities?you may be preferring to the proper authorities, that is the PNP. I guess, it's not a question of what time he surrenders himself to the police (better late than never). Are you saying that Dongkoy Emano should not be considered as an authority?(for Christ's sake), he's Mr. Bacal's immediate boss. Whatever he did (right or wrong), in the end he was identified as Councilor Bacal. The issue here whether he should be penalize for his actions. There were two cases filed at the prosecutor's office, but to no avail. Will you now volunteer yourself as "Prosecutor"? Maybe in a kangaroo court.hehehe(peace).

Now we're talking. It's my choice to simply conceal myself and it's none of your business, because you might have that idea from your "old" school of thought.

Co-jones?whewww..I already did, in fact any type of weighing scale can no longer bear its load. What about yours? Likewise, just a piece of advice ask Madeleine Albright the proper usage of the term.

mr robert cruz,

after the accident did mr bacal surrender himself to the authorities? no. instead he went to see his political patron, padayon pilipino titular head, political kingmaker and cagayan de oro vice mayor dongkoy emano. need i say more?
with regard to citing internet privacy policy, i really don't have to. it is, after all, your call if you prefer talking while hiding under ther cloak of anonymity.
piece of advice though. cojones--grow them.
crytal clear pards?

Mr. Deveza.

That ends the issue, after all I was right. Civil liabilities been settled and the prosecutor dismissed the case. What else you guys want from him? I don't know if what does "accident" meant for some people. If you believe that "justice" has not been served, then why don't you point the tip of your pen to the City Prosecutor's Office. As far as I know, Mr. Bacal appropriately responded to all the cases filed before him. Can you prove that he used his position to save himself and his closeness to powerful politicians? He dealt with the case on his own.

"Pards"? hehehe..Can you give me specific provisions on universal Internet Privacy Policy that states that I am compelled to post my pictures when posting a comment on a particular blog and topic. If you don't have then let me put this forward and share with you what does Internet privacy means courtesy of Wikipedia "Internet privacy consists of privacy over the media of the Internet: the ability to control what information one reveals about oneself over the Internet, and to control who can access that information". Privacy settings are available to block certain individuals from seeing your profile, the ability to choose your "friends," and the ability to limit who has access to your pictures and videos.

mr robert cruz,
you are right, the civil liabilities of mr bacal towards the victim's family has been settled.and you are right, the prosecutor dismissed the criminal case against mr bacal.
but does these make things right? has the cause of justice been served? i don't think so.
remember, mr bacal, by his own admission, had a few drinks prior to the accident. had a proper investigation been made by the police and had he surrendered himself after attending to the boy, perhaps a medical examination would have concluded that he was driving under the influence of liquor. but then again, maybe not. in any case, the public would never know the truth as mr bacal, by virtue of his closeness to powerful politicians, chose to use his position to save himself. now if that is not abuse i don't know what is.
also, next time post your picture with your comments so i will know who i am talking to. you've seen my profile pic, you know i write for sunstar. you can't be talking big while remaining anonymous.
next time post your pix pards..

Restitution "for" and "to" whom? Civil liabilities have already been settled. A case was filed but the prosecutor dismissed it.
Forgiveness, yes. But there must also be restitution. we can not afford not to make our public officials accountable for their actions. why do you think we have such abusive public officials?

Nobody’s perfect. What matters most is he asked for forgiveness, admitted he was at fault, thus, his human nature and weakness prevailed in his senses. Everybody has his own fate. Councilor Bacal’s fate could be on a ‘sorry’ state and the 15-year-old boy’s fate could be worse, he lost his life. But who wants such a horrible experience? If the Almighty is a forgiving God to those who repent their sins, Mr. Bacal is repentant, a regular church goer, a devout Catholic.

He could have lost his senses when he admittedly failed to take the boy to the nearest hospital for medication after the fatal accident. Everyone has his impulses. Whether he was under influence or not, there was an admission of guilt. He could have cried in despair, regretted his impulses but it was too late. The damage has been done.

Just like anyone who commits sin, repentance comes last. It’s a lesson learned. But again, God is forgiving, so do is man. All of us are humans---all subject to guilt. He claimed responsibility and fixed his own mess. After one life lost, we have to move on. We can not go on living in this nightmare! There is so much from life way ahead of us. Yet, time and again, nobody’s perfect. Only God is.

matt,

there are numerous trails in cdo. the more popular ones are in Palalan in Tablon (behind Nestle), Torres in Gusa (you can reach this through Mountain Meadows of Galaxy, Pualas to convention center, and skyway in lumbia in lumbia.
however, the best way to explore these trails is to ride with somebody who are familiar with them. so it is best to hook up with the many clubs in the city. or you can go to dv soria between 6-7 every weekend and tag along with the guys meeting up there..
happy riding...
